How We Build Our Calculators
Last updated: [05-31-2026]
At More Than A Calculators, a calculator is only useful if you can trust the number it gives you. This page explains how our tools are built, where the formulas come from, and how we work to keep results accurate—so you can judge that trust for yourself.
Who Builds Them
More Than A Calculators is built and maintained by ProradeSoft, a software developer with years of experience building business and accounting software, automation systems, and data-driven applications. The person behind the calculators is Rade Dimitrijević. There is a real developer behind every tool on this site—not an anonymous content farm.
Where the Formulas Come From
Each calculator is based on a standard, publicly documented formula—not on guesswork. We rely on established, widely accepted sources appropriate to each field, such as:
- Finance: standard amortization, compound interest, and return formulas used by lenders and financial institutions.
- Health & fitness: recognized formulas such as BMI (WHO), BMR, and related published equations.
- Electrical & engineering: fundamental physical laws (e.g., Ohm’s Law, power equations) and standard engineering relationships.
- Math & conversions: exact mathematical definitions and internationally standardized unit conversions.
Where a calculator is based on a specific published formula or standard, we aim to state it on the calculator’s page and link to the source so you can verify it yourself.
How We Test Accuracy
Before a calculator goes live, we test it by comparing its output against known, worked examples where the correct answer is already established. We check the tool across a range of inputs—small and large values, edge cases, and typical real-world scenarios—to confirm it behaves correctly and handles unusual input sensibly.
Because the calculations run locally in your browser, you get an instant result, and the math is the same every time for the same inputs.
Transparency Over Black Boxes
We believe a good calculator should show its work. Wherever possible, we explain the formula being used, define the variables, and walk through an example, so you understand how a result is reached rather than just seeing a number. This also lets you check the logic against your own situation.
Keeping Tools Up to Date
Standards, rates, and best practices change over time. We review and update calculators and their explanations as needed, and each page reflects its most recent update. If you spot an error or think a formula should be revised, we want to hear about it.
Important: Results Are Estimates
Even with careful sourcing and testing, our calculators provide estimates for informational and educational purposes. They are not a substitute for professional financial, health, or engineering advice. Please see our Disclaimer for details.
Help Us Improve
Accuracy improves with feedback. If you find a result that looks wrong, have a source we should reference, or want to suggest a new calculator, reach out through our Contact page or at contact@morethanacalculators.com.
